Which personal data is processed?
Your personal data is processed when you disclose this to us via the contact form on our website or when you share it with us via the telephone, fax or e-mail. The personal data we process includes your name, e-mail address, job title, gender and telephone number. If the delivery and invoicing address given is the same as your residential address, we will also process your personal address details.
Special and/or sensitive personal data that we process
Lethe Handelmij Nieuwburg does not intend to collect details about website visitors under the age of 16 unless they have the consent of their parents or guardian. However, we cannot check the identities of our visitors. If you are convinced that we have collected the personal data of a minor without consent, please contact us on info@lethe-nieuwburg.nl so that we can remove this data.
Why do we process your personal data?
We use your personal data because it is required for our order process. This includes offers, order confirmations, changes to delivery times, invoices, the delivery of orders and establishing direct communications.
Automated decision-making
Lethe Handelmij Nieuwburg does not take decisions that may have (significant) consequences for your privacy on the basis of automated processing. This concerns decisions that are taken by computer programs or systems without the intervention of a person (such as an employee of Lethe Handelmij Nieuwburg).
The period for which personal data is retained
Lethe Handelmij Nieuwburg retains your personal data in order to realise the aforementioned purposes. If it concerns sub-processing, we abide by the statutory retention period of seven (7) years as stipulated in the Dutch Civil Code [Burgerlijk Wetboek] and the State Taxes Act [Algemene Wet inzake Rijksbelastingen].
Sharing personal data with third parties
Your personal data may be shared with third parties if such is necessary for the performance of the agreement (with, e.g., hauliers in order to deliver the order to you) or to fulfil statutory obligations, if any. We enter into a processor's agreement with companies that process your data on our instructions in order to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality. Lethe Handelmij Nieuwburg will continue to bear ultimate responsibility for such processing operations.

This means that you can submit a request to us to digitally send the personal data that we hold of you to you or to another organisation, in accordance with your instructions.
You can submit a request for access, correction, deletion or transfer of your personal data or withdraw your permission for or object to the processing of your personal data by e-mail to info@lethe-nieuwburg.nl. So as to ensure it was, indeed, you who made the request, we will always contact you by telephone (if you have given us your telephone number or if we have it on record) in order to verify the request before taking any action. This is to protect your privacy. We will reply as soon as possible and within no more than four weeks.
Reporting data breaches
Lethe Handelmij Nieuwburg is obliged to report any data breaches to the Dutch Data Protection Authority. A data breach is a security incident that involves the unintentional access to or the destruction of, changes to or the release of personal data. In the case of a data breach, personal data must have been lost or the unlawful processing of personal data cannot be excluded. In the event of such a data breach, Lethe Handelmij Nieuwburg will notify its customers.

Lethe Handelmij Nieuwburg is responsible for the processing of your personal data as explained in this privacy statement. If you are not happy with the way in which we process your personal data we do, of course, want to know so that we can find a suitable solution. You also have the option to submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
